Darkness is falling and now is the time for everyone to choose whether they are on the side of the demons or the angels.

Far away, on the lush island of Haiti, the Ravenheart sisters are seeking the answer to the darkest of all the Dark Arts – the resurrection of the dead. Desperately wanting to restore their trinity, Lilith and Thalia will stop at nothing to exact their vengeance on the Witch Hunter, Jeremiah Chase, and reclaim their sister, Nigella, from The Palace.

With betrayal, murder and bloody power-games in play across The Southern Territories, the race is on to usurp the Meadowsweet sisters from their thrones as Guardians of ‘The Ancient Ones’, and to eradicate their bloodline once and for all.

Reports of rampaging poltergeists, murderous ghostly huntsmen, and even the sight of an angel, in Heargton village, cause ancient suspicions to emerge, and for the Meadowsweet sisters to come under increasing suspicion of reigniting the ancient curse of the Heargton Witches.

From England, to Mexico, to Salem, to Haiti, the whole world is suffering the aftershocks of the Ravenheart’s terrible play for power. However, for Fox Meadowsweet, the most violent of the conflicts is closer to home – in the chambers of her own heart, where the increasing power of the blood-bond with Jeremiah is fighting the true love she feels for William Harrington; the boy who holds the promise of salvation.

Storm clouds are gathering from all corners of the globe, and the Church in Rome has issued orders to put an end to the supernatural elements in Heargton once and for all.

It’s time to prepare for battle.

I really like the story, but the editing was so bad! There was the same issues as the 2nd and 3rd (word order and misuse of words and mixing character names up), but in addition there were inconsistencies...big ones. One example without giving story details away was when Will arrives at Coldstone house "for the first time"! Um hello did we not read how Will was the pot washer for the old bags parties in both books one and two?! He also gives Fox a ride home from there and in book 2 leaves early causing Fox to not have a ride. I just can't see how the author or the editor missed a whole paragraph about him never seeing the house when he was employed there in 1&2. The editing is one of the worst jobs I've seen. Even I could have done better. If it were not for the characters and how they draw you in I would give this book 3 a one star. Not only for the editing, but for the ending. I felt both books 2 and this one (3) endings were just horrible. No cliffhanger or segue into what I'm assuming will be a book 4. If there is not going to be a book 4 then it's even worse off than I thought. There really was not much in this book to be on its own. I would have shortened and added to the end.

Devilry Book 3 of The Meadowsweet Witches eBook Katie M John Reviews

A good read, but lots of grammar mistakes which made it difficult to make sense of sometimes. A pretty cool storyline.
I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the next book. I'm excited to see what happens next. These books don't focus on just one set of characters, so it has me eager to see where all characters end up. Never a dull moment (unless your waiting for the next book)
Great Book!!!
This is reminds me the Harry Potter books, but is several steps above them. The book is suitable fore mature teens and above. It's a very interesting read,
This is a very intriguing story line and I read all three books. However, I must say that these three books represent the worst job of copy editing I have ever read. There were also major grammar errors, inconsistencies in story line, and mixed up character names.

If you can wade through the problems with the writing, it is a good story. I wish the author would have done a line-by-line edit AFTER the supposed copy edit. It would have made a world of difference.
Book 3 - terrific!! Read in one day. Can't put it down. The Meadowsweets are preparing for an epic battle, one that has the deck stacked against them. Evil is circling from all sides. It's now even more unsure of which side each of the main characters will fall on - good or evil? Some characters leave in this book, some change, some are drastically altered. It's amazing how the author creates really bad people that you find yourself caring for in a strange way. Katie John has done it again. I want, need, the next book. Please tell me what happens next!!! This book did not satiate my need for the story. Who do you root for? How can this end well? Amazing read!! But start with Witchcraft and go from there.
There's more to heaven and hell than anyone will ever know. So, after having read Witchcraft and Vengeance, I just had to read book 3 of The Meadowsweet Chronicles, Devilry. Because Katie M. John is one of the greatest storytellers of our time. She has shown us the Witches of The Goddess, and the Witches of the dark side, and the Witch hunters. Now we meet the demon, experience a bloody ritual in Haiti, execute a zombie in England, find out that good and bad are not as they seem, and witness exorcism of a ghost and a damned woman. And if that's not enough, there's an angel, a Gypsy miracle, dark plotting, and sacrificed children.
