Jack Coke The Uncertain Saints Book 2 edition by Lani Lynn Vale Romance eBooks
I had a lot of of problems with the credibility in this book . In one chapter, I believe it was around 18, Mig astounds Annie with the news that his family doesn't even know he is, or was married. Then three chapters later ,while with his family Annie is surprised to learn they didn't know about his wife. One chapter she is trying to convince him to tell his parents then suddenly she is shocked to learn they didn'tknow? It didn't make any sense. I really hate when authors do this kind of thing. This happened more than once which pretty much ruined the story for me. I could have enjoyed it more without these mistakes.

Jack Coke The Uncertain Saints Book 2 edition by Lani Lynn Vale Romance eBooks Reviews
the way that Mig and Annie meet may not have been perfect, but lifes not perfect. things happen in their lives that try to make it so that they don't have an easy go at their relationship. but, its these challenges that bring them close to one another. Mig is definitely one that when he loves he loves hard. and will do what he needs to keep his woman safe.
Mig and Annie's beginning was not one that most would agree with. but that doesn't take away from the connection that is between these two characters. this was another hit for Vale, and i can't wait for the next book.
Mig met the woman that stole his heart when she moved in next door, problem was he was married to a woman he hated but wanted to due right by the child she was carrying. Annie knew Mig was special but she hated the fact that he was married and she would never have a relationship with a married man.
Mig decides he can't stay with his wife and has a plan to catch her at her own game. Balancing Annie though and making she doesn't get hurt is his top priority though.
Had a few surprises that blew my mind. There is no cheating in the story. I cried in this one, I felt for Mig and Annie and he does things to keep Annie protected that has your heartbreaking. Fantastic series so far.
Like all Lani Lynn Vale books, I was entertained by Jack and Coke. However, I would not rank it as one of my favorite books. I didn't particularly like Mig and Annie as a couple and I think it's because I didn't feel like I knew them as individual characters, especially Annie. It felt like the reader was supposed to already know and love her when I felt like there were a few scenarios where she and Mig are thrown together due to circumstances. I know that it's made clear how he feels about her from the very beginning of the story but he can't act on it because he's married. I would have been more invested if all the stuff with his wife had been a more fleshed out part of the book and Annie's role in story would be better explained and have more of an impact on me. Still, as I said, I was entertained none the less as it is impossible not to be while reading a Lani Lynn Vale book.
Jack & Coke is the second book in the Uncertain Saints MC series. If you read the synopsis of this book then you may be thinking that this book is about a triangle or cheating and let me assure you that it is about neither and I knew that would be the case because I trust Lani Lynn Vale and her writing. I will not give too much away, but I will say that Jennifer is a piece of work and you will despise her extremely quickly. Even with all that she has done to Mig he still does not act on his feelings for Annie until he and Jennifer are no longer together. You will fall completely in love with Annie as Mig did. Mig is someone you will also love. This book is a terrific read and can be read as a standalone. If you are able to read the first book in the series I recommend that you do so because it is an excellent book and great series. Jack & Coke is a such a good book and although MIg and Annie have a tough road to their HEA, it is definitely worth the journey.
Jack & Coke was the second book in the Uncertain Saints series by Lani Lynn Vale.
Vitaly “Mig“ Konn was retired navy, a DEA agent and a member of the Uncertain Saints MC. He had a wife that he never should have had, and a baby on the way. His life was turbulent and messy.
Annie Garcia was the sexy neighbor to Mig. When they first met, Mig was married so they had a friendship and nothing more. Annie owned her own company as a masseuse and hair stylist. She was strong, beautiful and independent.
The storyline was action packed and suspenseful mixed in with humor. I loved Annie and I loved most of Mig. I don’t think his marriage was plausible, but no spoilers here, so no more elaboration. Just know there was no cheating but the story itself was very controversial and could be a trigger for some. The foundation of the storyline focused on their friendship/relationship; however, there were various sub plots related to their exes and local crime in the area. I loved the crime aspect, it kept it interesting and intriguing. My overall rating was a 3.5, which rounds to a 4 on this review site.
It was told in a dual POV and was well written. It was a fairly quick read with an undercurrent of crime and mystery. Vale also provided depth through a strong cast of secondary characters. They were humorous, loyal and well developed. Teasers were provided and next up is Casten and Tasha in Vodka on the Rocks.
This story had potential. But I don't have patience for stupid characters. Especialy, as that character has a training like Mig has.
Marrying woman just because she's pregnant? Especially, the way it happened? I can't even. Yes, you should take responsibility, but if you have no respect for that woman, how can you even thing about marrying her? That's not healthy, not only for you but for the baby too.
And how Mig acted with his ex-wife. He said more then once, how his ex was manipulative, but he always jumped to her bidding. It was annoying, especially when that was witnessed by Anne.
And come on! One time his ex said one reason why she trapped him, next time she said differently. Who knows what's the true. As far as he knew she willingly was part of all that bullsh¡t following Mig. Did he suspected her? No. Why the heck all his training was for then? For him to just brag about it?
And at the end of all this bullsh¡t, Mig was sympathetic to his ex plait? Are you serious?
Honestly, I lost all faith in Mig. He was unable to win me over at the end.
I had a lot of of problems with the credibility in this book . In one chapter, I believe it was around 18, Mig astounds Annie with the news that his family doesn't even know he is, or was married.
