Moe, better known as The Last of the Mohicans, played in punk rock bands and survived the trials of “taco bell” tours for years until he finally called it quits. After two life-changing events that taught Moe that there are things in life that count and things that don’t, he meets a desperate four-year-old boy named Jack he later adopts. Eventually, Moe, his wife, and Jack open a one of a kind, all-ages, live music venue/24-hour, coin-operated Laundromat. The journey Moe has is about as agitated and tossed around as clothes in a washing machine.

Ponk Vonsydow writes with a brand of in-your-face honesty that's rare in today's world of hyperbole and overblown tall-tale telling. You want reality? Here it is, in all it's gut-wrenching, needle-tracked, junk-sick glory. The story of self-styled scene kings and would-be rock popes, and all the people--friends, lovers, screw-ups and saviors--they trample in their wake. A better book about the darker side of punk life would be hard to find. Why isn't this guy on the NY Times best-sellers list?Product details

The PunkOMatic Laundromat Ponk Vonsydow 9781482072648 Books Reviews
If you want a first hand look at what its like touring in punk-rock bands and some of that life-style, this is a fun read. The main character Moe (given that name due to his Mohawk hair cut) is a true hero in many ways especially when he is not involved in the "scene" of drugs and alcohol and saves a child's life among other good deeds. Its a really interesting look at life on the road and on rocker trying to live out his dreams. I really enjoyed it!
Yeah, I think I read it. But it didn't knock my socks off. But for the price I think it was a good deal.
